ZSidekick Privacy Policy
ZSidekick (zsidekick.app) is a personal sales-engineering tool built and run by Josh Waagmeester for Zscaler employees. It is not an official Zscaler product. This page explains what information ZSidekick handles and why.
Signing in
Access is limited to Google Workspace accounts at zscaler.com. Sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Access using Google sign-in. From your Google account, ZSidekick receives only your name, email address and your account’s Google Workspace domain. They are used only to decide whether you may open the app.
ZSidekick does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data, and it cannot read them.
Cloudflare records each sign-in (email address, IP address and time) in its access logs so that access can be audited.
Your work in the app
Notes and saved work stay in your browser’s storage on your device. The app does not send them to any server, and they do not sync to Google Drive or between devices or browsers. The app may also keep a copy of its own files in your browser so it loads faster.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
ZSidekick has no analytics, advertising or tracking. Cloudflare sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect the site; the app itself sets no tracking or advertising cookies.
Hosting
Netlify serves the app’s files and Cloudflare sits in front of the site. Both providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address, time and the page requested, under their own privacy policies.
Sharing
Your information is not sold, rented or shared with anyone except the service providers above, who process it only to run the site. Links in the app to other websites take you to those sites, and their own privacy policies apply.
Google user data
ZSidekick’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Deleting your data
- Work saved in the app: clear your browser’s site data for zsidekick.app.
- Sign-in records and anything else: email josh@jtsolve.com and it will be removed where the providers allow.
Children
ZSidekick is a work tool for Zscaler employees and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
